David Thomason has 38 years’ experience in applying information technology to the requirements of the Power Generation & Utility industry. He is an active advocate in the use of advanced analytics and technologies to enhance business value. Prior to joining OSIsoft, David’s responsibilities included the company’s multi-market Energy Management System, Plant Analytics systems, SAP Work and Material Management, custom SW development & Support teams. David joined OSIsoft in February 2011 and has been spreading the word on the high-value digital transformation can bring to the P&U industry.
John Marriott has over 30 years of experience in industrial automation covering aspects from control system design, configuration & programming, start-up and maintenance to sales, alliances, management, and business ownership. He has been working in IIoT since before it was mainstream and advises on digital transformation for the operational technology side of businesses.
Salvatore Della Villa Jr. has over forty (40) years of experience in the reliability engineering and information technology disciplines. He has led SPS® in establishing the Operational Reliability Analysis Program (ORAP®) as the single largest global plant database in the energy industry, serving equipment manufacturers, owner/operators, and industry regulators.
Prior to founding SPS in 1987 he held various positions in General Electric's turbine businesses, with a focus on “design for reliability” processes, product improvements, and customer service. He holds two US product patents, is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and is past Chairman of the Electric Power committee, and ASME Standards Committee on reliability.
John is responsible for introducing and developing new technologies that support Clyde Industries' vision of providing highly engineered boiler cleaning systems, spare parts, and services for the global pulp & paper industry. He also manages a team of engineers responsible for remote monitoring and optimization of Clyde Industries SMART Clean Intelligent Sootblowing System.
